Video: What Alexandre Lacazette did when he saw the Arsenal media team before today's friendly

Former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette will be facing off against some familiar faces today and the Gunners’ media team bumped into him before their friendly against Lyon.

Lacazette left Arsenal on a free transfer over the summer and rejoined his former club Lyon. The 31-year-old spent five years in north London and while he didn’t reach the heights he was expected to, he was a popular figure amongst the fans.

The Gunners are currently in Dubai as part of a mid-season training camp to prepare for the return of the Premier League this month.

Arsenal have three friendly fixtures lined up over the next ten days and the first will be today as they face Lyon. And Lacazette was spotted walking into the Al-Maktoum Stadium by Arsenal’s media today.

What Lacazette did when he saw Arsenal media team

The French striker spotted Arsenal’s media team as he walked into the stadium and instantly smiled.

Lacazette then offered them a handshake before asking “You good?”

The video on Arsenal’s Twitter account then shows the former Gunners man walking off into the direction of the changing rooms.

Lacazette racked up a total of 206 appearances for the Gunners, scoring on 71 occasions.

While the Frenchman eventually fell down the pecking order under Arteta, he proved to be an important part of the squad at Arsenal.

He will be hoping to put in a good display today as he faces off against his old side in Dubai.

Arteta will probably be working out how he can cope with the loss of Gabriel Jesus during their training camp.

The striker picked up an injury at the World Cup while playing for Brazil and could now face three months on the sidelines.

The upcoming friendly matches should give Arteta a good chance to experiment with his side, due to the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson being available.

The Gunners will play against AC Milan and then Juventus after their clash with Lyon today.
