The big World Cup kick off is in a matter of hours and England are continuing to put in the work ahead of their clash with Iran tomorrow.

The Three Lions take on Iran knowing that a fast start is a must. Carlos Queiroz’s side are expected to deploy a deep defensive line in a bid to frustrate England’s attacking flair.

Of course, England will also be confident they have it within themselves to break Iran down. And two players who could be key in doing that, Jack Grealish and Bukayo Saka, appear to be linking up nicely in training.

Spotted on the behind the scenes training video on England’s YouTube channel, Saka and Grealish combine more than once in a small training game before Saka crowns their link up with a fine finish. Grealish can be seen teasing the defenders before laying the ball into Saka’s path. From there, the Arsenal man duly obliges and slots into the bottom corner.

There has been speculation that Saka might get the nod to actually start for England. Grealish, too, has been tipped to play a starring role. Gareth Southgate is believed to be toying with the idea of playing more creative players to break down Iran’s stiff rearguard.

England are going to need their big players to step up this tournament like Kane and Bellingham. However, players like Saka and Grealish can really help deliver as well.

Grealish should be fresh given he’s not been a regular for City. Saka, meanwhile, is absolutely flying with Arsenal and can cause havoc.

Seeing Saka and Grealish link up in training is nice to see. If they can replicate this on the field, then England could go far.
