Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been putting his players through their paces ahead of their home meeting with Brighton.

The Gunners will be desperate to bounce back following their dismal 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace in midweek.

Arsenal have slipped out of the Premier League top four on goal difference following matchday 30.

However, they have a game in hand on fourth-placed Tottenham.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls are in poor form, losing six of their last seven and drawing to Norwich last time out.

On paper, Arsenal will be favourites, but the pressure will be on them and the stakes are incredibly high.

In addition, Arteta is having to plan without Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey, who are now on the sidelines.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is likely to come in for the Ghanaian, and some academy players could make the bench.

“Outstanding talent”

On Thursday, Arsenal released a training video, and Miguel Azeez was spotted in the session alongside Charlie Patino.

The 19-year-old is a dynamic midfielder equally skilled as an anchorman as he is playing at No. 10.

Azeez was already in and around the first team last season.

He made his senior debut in the Europa League win over Dundalk.

And last summer, Arsenal sent Azeez out on loan to Portsmouth.

However, the teenager made just 10 appearances for the club, prompting the Gunners to recall him.

Arsenal opted to activate a recall clause to end Azeez’s scheduled season-long stay.

“They’re taking Azeez back from Portsmouth,” Keown said on talkSPORT in January (14/1/22, 12pm).

“A young player I know behind the scenes they think is an outstanding talent.”

The youngster has been playing with the Gunners Under-23s since his return.

But with Partey now absent, could Arteta give Azeez some more minutes between now and season’s end?
