Video: Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli scores weak-foot screamer in Brazil training
The 21-year-old Gunners star was a surprise call-up by Tite last week. Many expected him to miss out on the final list, but he made it, and that is an extraordinary achievement considering how strong Brazil’s attack is.
Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli scores weak-foot screamer in Brazil training
Tottenham star Richarlison teamed up with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli for a shooting drill in Brazil training yesterday.
All three players had a few pops at goal from outside the box, but it was Martinelli who caught the eye.
The Arsenal number 11, who received the ball from Jesus, scored a screamer with his weaker left foot from outside the box. It really was a spectacular strike, and he’ll be hoping to get an opportunity at the World Cup to do the same.
Tottenham’s £60 million star (Sky Sports) Richarlison was right in front of Martinelli when he scored the goal, and the Spurs man appears to react by raising his hands in the air. However, that part is unclear.

Brazil’s attack really does look scary, doesn’t it?
If the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Jr and Raphinha weren’t enough, Tite also has Richarlison, Jesus, Rodrygo, Antony and Martinelli among others at his disposal.
If the Brazil manager gets his tactics right, Brazil will be a real force in Qatar, and they could go all the way to lift their first World Cup in over 20 years.
If Martinelli can have some say in that, his stock will shoot up more than it already has since the start of this campaign.
