Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka has made a name for himself as a world-class forward for club and country.

However, the Gunners academy graduate also boasts some great defensive qualities.

Saka spent much of his formative years in the Arsenal first-team squad as a left-back.

It wasn’t long before he became a regular in attack, and now he primarily plies his trade on the right flank.

Saka is currently in the England squad which has reached the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup.

On Tuesday, prior to the Three Lions’ 3-0 win over Wales, the England YouTube channel posted footage from their latest training session.

At around 2:43, Raheem Sterling tries to get past Saka, but the Arsenal man dispossesses the £325,000-a-week Chelsea ace with relative ease.

Not that many (most) people would want to see Saka play in the back line – he’s wasted there.

Nonetheless, it shows just how talented the Arsenal star is.

And to think he’s just 21 – he really has an incredible future ahead of him.

Saka gets much-needed rest

Saka arrived in Qatar having started in all 14 Premier League matches for Arsenal this season.

He has played at least 80 minutes in 13 of those games.

Saka was also the only Arsenal player to feature in all 38 league fixtures last season, starting 36 times.

Therefore, there has been some concern over how much game time the Gunners ace would be playing at the World Cup.

However, there were some good news for Saka and Arsenal fans against Wales, with the player remaining an unused substitute.
