Video: Antonio Conte was gutted after £15m Tottenham player's poor touch during Leicester game

It has recently been reported that Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is open to selling Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg when the summer transfer window opens.

Mega-rich Newcastle United have been linked with a swoop as Eddie Howe embarks on his first summer in charge of the club.

Conte is also getting ready for his first summer in charge of Tottenham and his task will be a lot easier if he can guide his charges to a top four finish.

Spurs got an important result in that chase on Sunday, beating Leicester comfortably 3-1 at home, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

Tottenham have posted footage on their official YouTube channel of Conte’s reactions to certain situations within that game.

There is one instance when Dejan Kulusevski produces some outstanding skill to wriggle out of a tight spot and set Tottenham away on the break.

The ball is switched over to Hojbjerg but the Danish international midfielder produced a poor touch, and Conte could not hide his frustration as the opportunity went begging.

Hojbjerg is used to working under managers with exacting standards, having been a player under both Pep Guardiola – during his time at Bayern Munich – and Jose Mourinho.

Conte is just as demanding and the hope has to be that his relentlessness pulls Tottenham up to his level in the weeks and months ahead.

Perhaps Hojbjerg won’t like the sight of his manager being visibly gutted about a mistake but Conte makes no bones about what he demands and he cannot hide his emotions very well on the touchline.
