Norwich City were being linked with Legia Warsaw defender William Remy this week. The 27-year-old was reportedly closing in on a move to Carrow Road, according to France Football.
The defender, who can also play in holding midfield, was seen as a potential extra step toward Norwich pushing Leeds United in the Championship promotion race.
However, despite those reports, Remy will not be on his way to Carrow Road.

As reported by the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich are not making a move for the Frenchman in January as he does not fit the club profile.
So should Leeds United now swoop?
Leeds’ director of football has been linked before. In August 2017, with the transfer window coming to an end, it was reported by L’Equipe that Victor Orta was pressing for a deal for the then Montpellier player. An approach was made, according to the report, but Remy remained.
Come January, he headed to Poland where he remains with Legia.
Leeds would no doubt use Remy if he did arrive. The Whites need cover at centre-back and the Frenchman could go straight into the first-team picture at Elland Road.
If Norwich do not want him, then Orta should no doubt revisit this player. He could be the difference between the two teams this season.
