Frank Lampard was asked about Richarlison ahead of his first meeting with the forward since he swapped Everton for Tottenham.
At his pre-match press conference, Lampard was asked if he was surprised that the Brazilian had done so well since his summer move.
Lampard paid tribute to the former Toffees talisman, who will be hoping to face his old club on Saturday evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Lampard asked about Richarlison
Lampard said: “I’m not surprised (by how well he’s done at Tottenham) and I don’t know why the rest of the world should be surprised. Maybe it’s because he came from Everton, and I don’t know how glamourous that might be for some people. It shouldn’t be that.
“Very, very talented player. Even when he was here, he was always Brazil’s number nine or off the side and you know about the competition for places he’s got in that team. So I think he’s well-respected in the football world. So maybe there were certain other things people were not so keen on.
“I always found him a pleasure to work with. Enjoyed working with him. We know him very well but his style is slightly unpredictable and that’s probably one of the big plusses of him, how he plays. He’s a continuous threat at all times.
“We’re aware of the threat and we’ll have to try and nullify it.”
Richarlison was key to Everton remaining in the Premier League last season and his exit helped the Toffees balance the books.
Lampard has done well to add other attacking threats to his Everton side after Richarlison’s exit, despite not spending fortunes.
Everton lost this fixture 5-0 last season and will be looking for a far better performance and result on Saturday’s trip to north London.
