All the talk at Arsenal this summer has been about incomings so far, but now it’s time to switch their attention to outgoings.
Indeed, Arsenal now need to trim their squad as it has to be said that their roster is quite bloated right now.
The north London club can, of course, only register 25 senior players next season, and that means that a few have to go.
One man who is very much on the fringes at the Emirates is Marqunihos. The Brazilian winger spent the second-half of last season out on loan at Norwich, and now, he’s set for another temporary spell away from Arsenal.
Indeed, according to Chris Wheatley, speaking on Shots TV, Marquinhos is very close to heading out on loan to Nantes.

Close to leaving
Wheatley shared what he knows about the ‘exceptional’ winger.
“There’s also Marquinhos who is still at the club. He will be going out on loan to Nantes in France. They’re still discussing the terms of the deal whether it will be an option or an obligation, but he will be leaving the club very soon,’ Wheatley said.

Will he return?
Marquinhos leaving Arsenal on loan at this point makes a lot of sense, but the question is, will he return?
As Wheatley says, this could have an option to buy clause included, and, in all honesty, the Brazilian may have played his final game for Arsenal.
Sadly, due to the presence of the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson, the door is firmly shut for any young wingers trying to make an impact at Arsenal right now, and it’s fair to assume that it could be game over for Marquinhos at the Emirates.
