‘Very hot’… Peter Schmeichel says Arsenal have a player who’s absolutely on fire right now

Arsenal are playing some incredible football right now.

The Gunners are absolutely flying in the Premier League. They’re scoring for fun and they’ve barely conceded a goal since the turn of the year.

All of Arsenal’s star players seem to be finding their best form at the moment, and one player who has really hit his stride as of late is Bukayo Saka.

The winger has been finding the back of the net at an incredible rate as of late, and speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Peter Schmeichel has noted the winger’s great form.

Schmeichel was discussing England’s embarrassment of riches in an attacking sense, and he says that Saka is on fire right now and would be more than worthy of a place in the England team.

Bukayo Saka is on fire

Schmeichel spoke about England’s options and Saka.

“I can see Gareth Southgate having a look at all of those options. That sounds very scary. Harry Kane at the top, red hot, Phil Foden, you have Bukayo Saka who is very hot at the moment, then Jude Bellingham who can’t stop scoring, but I can’t see him gambling all of those players in the same game,” Schmeichel said.

What a player

Schmeichel is spot on, Saka is in the form of his life right now.

He’s rediscovered his cutting edge, and Arsenal look so much better for it.

Saka is back to his very best, and it’s no coincidence that his brilliant run of form has coincided with Arsenal going on an incredible run of thrashing teams and scoring tons of goals.

If Saka can keep this level of form up between now and the end of the season, Arsenal should be there are thereabouts in the title conversation when all is said and done in the Premier League.
