Kyle Walker-Peters has posted on Instagram after it was confirmed that the right-back had completed a permanent move from Tottenham to Southampton – and Jan Vertonghen, Kieran Trippier and an Arsenal player responded.
Breaking into the Spurs side under Mauricio Pochettino, 23-year-old Walker-Peters has only managed 24 first-team outings over the past few seasons. Serge Aurier kept him out of the team during the majority of last season.
It saw the England Under-21 international move on loan to Southampton in January and he seemingly left a lasting impression. Walker-Peters played 10 times, helping the Saints remain unbeaten for the final seven league games.
Walker-Peters has posted an excited message to Southampton supporters on Instagram after it was confirmed he had completed a £12million (Mail) move to the south coast – signing a permanent five-year deal.

Though not officially a swap deal, Tottenham have signed midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for a fee of £15million. It means Spurs have signed Hojbjerg basically for a fee of just £3million and right sided defender Walker-Peters.
Plenty of former teammates responded to Walker-Peters’ post, including former Tottenham teammates Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker-Peters. Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles put rivalry aside to wish him the best, too.
The defender will now be focusing on helping Southampton remain above a relegation dogfight, and pushing for the top half of the Premier League table.
