In the summer, Tottenham Hotspur were being linked with a potential move for Danish talent Robert Skov.
As reported by Italian paper Corriere dello Sport, the North London side were hoping to snap up the Copenhagen winger with a reported fee of £5 million being mentioned.
Sky Sports also reported that Tottenham were keen on a move for the player.
The reasons why were clear. Skov had a breakout season in Denmark, scoring an impressive 32 goals in 48 games from the right-wing.

However, Skov ended up heading to Germany, joining Hoffenheim in a €9 million (£8m) deal, according to Get German Football News.
Which is a shame, as Skov could have solved plenty of problems for Tottenham this season. Not just in attack either. Surprisingly, the 32-goal former target might have been a big help at left-back.
Tottenham have had issues in the position this season. Danny Rose was clearly on his way out, Jan Vertonghen’s auxiliary performances have dipped, Ryan Sessegnon is still best in a more attacking role whilst Ben Davies has battled injuries.
Skov, despite his sensational scoring record, has played a large portion of this season at left-back for the Bundesliga side and earned rave reviews in a position he has not previously played.
Not only then would Skov have proven a potential boost to Tottenham going forward, but also in their problem left-back role.
