A number of Arsenal have taken to Twitter to praise Reiss Nelson’s performance for the Gunners Under-23s on Friday night.

The 21-year-old attacker, who came through the Gunners ranks, was tipped for a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium in January.

However, no move materialised, and Nelson will spend the remainder of the season at Arsenal, where he has sadly struggled for game time this term.

Nelson looked a cut above throughout and also won and scored a superb free kick, curling his effort into the top corner, leaving Ethan Wady no chance in the Blues goal.

His goal drew Arsenal level after Thierno Ballo opened the scoring for Chelsea, and the game finished 2-2, with Marcel Lewis and Charlie Patino also getting on the scoresheet.
