‘Up there’… Pundit says Liverpool have a player who is on a similar level to Kylian Mbappe

Some of the best footballers in the world right now are wingers.

Indeed, it seems as though the most talented players on the planet are these days often played out wide rather than up front as they were in the past.

The likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Bukayo Saka are some of the best in the game at the moment, and speaking to ESPN on TikTok, Jobi McAnuff has been tasked with naming who he believes are the three best wingers on the planet at this moment in time.

McAnuff did pick Saka and Mbappe, while he reserved his third spot for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

McAnuff spoke about the Egyptian.

“Who are the three best wingers in the world right now?” McAnuff was asked.

“Saka, Mbappe are we saying we can have him up there on the left side? And then Salah man, I’m gonna still put him up there, he’s still repping man,” McAnuff said.

McAnuff isn’t wrong, Salah is one of the best wingers in the world, and we’d go one step further and say that he’s also one of the best wingers to ever play the game.

Indeed, Salah has been putting up incredible numbers at the top level for a number of years now, and he’s also won all there is to win at club level.

Salah’s goalscoring numbers stack up with the very best of them – well, those not named Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and with Liverpool on track for a potential quadruple this season, he may yet have another chapter or two to add to his legacy come the end of the season.
