The CEO of Italian side Sassuolo has made it clear that Jeremie Boga is not for sale, after recent reports linking him with a move to Arsenal this summer.

Foot Mercato recently suggested that Arsenal, among other clubs, had made ‘timid approaches’ for the Ivory Coast attacker.

It was claimed a fee of £27 million would be needed for the ex-Chelsea player, whom Frank Lampard has allowed the club’s buy-back clause to pass on.

However, speaking to Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Rai Sport) Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevalli made it clear that Boga is simply not for sale at any price.

“How much is Boga worth? I do not ask myself a problem of numbers for the simple fact that we do not want to sell him. I declare him officially unsellable. They have already asked for him, in Italy and abroad. I replied that for the next season he will remain at Sassuolo.”

Boga has not only been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but with plenty of Premier League rivals also said to be keen on the 23-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in 2019-20.

Capable on the left-wing, on the other side or as a supporting striker, Boga has found some of his best form in Italy this season.

However, Arsenal are surely now likely to move on with Sassuolo not interested in a sale and any potential deal likely to be out of their price range.
