A number of Everton fans have praised Charlie Whitaker for his goalscoring display for the Toffees Under-23s on Friday night.
Everton hosted Derby in Southport and picked up their first Premier League 2 victory of the season, Whitaker’s goal proving the difference.
The 17-year-old received the ball inside the area before slotting into the corner of the net, nutmegging his marker on the way.

Everton dominated much of the first half but had to work hard for their victory as the Rams pushed for an equaliser in the second half.
Whitaker now has three goals from four PL2 games this season, and Toffees supporters were delighted to see him impressing once again.
Here is what some Everton fans said on Twitter:
Whitaker has been with the Blues since the age of 12 and signed a professional contract last September.
He won the Under-18 Player of the Season award last term and, following promotion to the Under-23s, continues to shine.
