‘Unplayable’ – Twitter erupts as Leeds United loanee Mallik Wilks stars for Doncaster Rovers again

Leeds United fans are very excited about what the future holds for Mallik Wilks. The talented young striker has been in excellent form on loan at Doncaster Rovers and that continued last night.

In the League One match against Bristol Rovers, Wilks scored his 12th league goal of the campaign to strengthen Doncaster’s hold inside the play-off zone.

The 20-year-old now has 14 goals in all competitions on loan at Doncaster and he has seven assists to his name as well.

Wilks is rated as one of Leeds’ brightest young talents and could be given a chance next season. Marcelo Bielsa, who famously rewards youngsters with first-team opportunities, cannot ignore Wilks’ progress over the course of this season.

It has been a productive loan stint at The Keepmoat Stadium and yesterday’s goal was scored in typical fashion. Wilks beat his marker for pace, cut inside and drilled a powerful shot inside the near post.
