Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has made Givemesport‘s top 10 in their list of top 21 Premier League players under the age of 21.
The 20-year-old has made quite a name for himself since joining the Whites initially on loan before being signed permanently in the summer.
Meslier has been entrusted with the first-team gloves at Elland Road and has played every minute of his side’s Premier League campaign so far.

Although it’s not been completely plain sailing all the way, the Frenchman hasn’t looked out of his depth by any means.
Givemesport have named Meslier at number 7 in their list, above the likes of Dwight McNeil, Ethan Ampadu, Ferran Torres and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“Physically Illan Meslier looks like a boy playing a man’s game but mentally he is as mature as a seasoned veteran,” wrote the outlet.
“Ice-cool in possession and unfazed by Bielsa’s possession-based demands, the Frenchman has been quietly impressive this season.
“Meslier’s positioning let him down when Helder Costa inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net against Palace, but one freak incident should not overshadow a commendable start to life in the top-flight.”
TBR View:
Meslier has enjoyed a superb breakthrough year for Leeds, impressing in his debut against Arsenal in the FA Cup and impressing Bielsa to the point that he feels comfortable in making him first choice in between the sticks.
Admittedly, there have been some difficult moments, but considering he’s just 20 and playing week in, week out against some of the world’s greatest players, he’s not doing bad by any means, and there’s definitely much more to come from him.
