Under fits into Tottenham's wage structure and would add vibrancy to the side
Tottenham are ready to battle local rivals Arsenal as well as Bayern Munich for Roma winger Cengiz Under, according to ESPN.
They report that the Bavarians want Under to replace the outgoing Arjen Robben but the north London rivals are also in the battle for his signature.
The Champions League semi finalists will reportedly demand 50 million euros (£45m) for the wideman – who can play both on the left and the right – but it is his wage demands that should entice Spurs.
ESPN claim he is one of Roma’s lowest earners – on less than £1m per year – and given that Tottenham cannot match the huge salaries banded around across the Premier League, that should be of genuine interest.

It is not often that Mauricio Pochettino will get the opportunity to sign a young, versatile wideman without having to pay ridiculous money in terms of both transfer fees and wages; so finding a way to get ahead of both Munich and Arsenal to sign Under would be a major boost.
This week’s north London derby win over the Gunners reaffirmed Spurs ambitions to be the dominant force within the rivalry and stealing in for Under would be another small, yet significant blow, to that end.
