Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck will be called into Steve Clarke’s Scotland side for the forthcoming international break, according to BBC.
They report that the Blades man will get his third international call-up and will be looking to make his debut with games against Russia and San Marino on the horizon.
Fleck has obviously caught Clarke’s eye by stepping up impressively into the Premier League and helping Chris Wilder’s side to slot into mid-table so far.
Scotland are on the back foot in terms of qualification through the group, but they can still hope to get there through a play-off because they topped their Nations League pool.

TBR’s View – Does Fleck deserve to make his Scotland bow this time around?
Clarke will likely be looking to shake up his side from the one which was battered 4-0 by Belgium last time around and bringing Fleck’s fight into midfield could help with that.
Looking at the names in the midfield that night, there are some decent ball players in there, but Fleck’s performances in the Premier League should give him a fair crack of getting in ahead of one or two of them.
If Fleck was coming into a squad which had been winning games, he’d be more likely to need to stay patient. But given the two home defeats last time around, he’s well worth a debut in the next two matches.
