‘Unbelievable’: Vladimir Coufal amazed by 28-year-old West Ham teammate

West Ham’s Vladimir Coufal has given a glowing verdict about the ability of his teammate Jesse Lingard.

Hammers right-back Coufal, 28, has been one of the ever-presents in a team currently sat fourth in the Premier League table trying to hold on to a Champions League spot.

He’s part of an impressive squad at the London Stadium, which was bolstered even further midway through the campaign.

David Moyes’ side managed to sign Manchester United attacker Lingard on loan until the rest of the season.

The 28-year-old joined with a big reputation from Old Trafford, but surely nobody could have predicted the size of the impact he’s made.

Despite a lot of time on the sidelines at Man United recently, the £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) ace hit the ground running on loan with West Ham.

The attacker now remarkably has eight goals and four assists in just nine appearances for the Irons, which resulted in him earning a recall to the England squad in the most recent international break.

“Jesse Lingard came from the biggest team in England and he brings something different. His quality is unbelievable, and I can’t understand why he didn’t play for Manchester United or get a chance. He’s an unbelievable player and I’m really happy to be able to play with him,” Coufal told Sky Sports.

TBR’s View:

If it’s realistic this summer, West Ham need to bring Lingard back to the club on a permanent basis.

The versatile attacker can play on the wing or more creative positions behind a striker, either way he’s looking clinical in front of goal.

Moyes’ side would have crumbled to pieces earlier in the season if Declan Rice and Michail Antonio were missing for a match, but they have another star man in their ranks in Lingard who is playing a massive role in trying to drag the club to a top-four finish.
