Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence might force Antonio Conte to make a big U-turn after his international display on Thursday.
The ‘unbelievable’ Spence is yet to start a game at Spurs since making the switch from Middlesbrough this summer.
The talented 22-year-old was coming off the back of an impressive season while on loan at Nottingham Forest.
But the Englishman has only made one appearance under Conte so far, which came from the bench against his former side Forest.
The Italian has so far favoured Emerson Royal at right wing-back. But Spence could have given Conte something to think about while playing for the England U21 side on Thursday.

Spence might force Conte U-turn
Spence was recently called up for the England youth side, alongside the likes of Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon.
The England U21 side faced off against Italy on Thursday and all three Spurs players started the game.
The young Three Lions team grabbed two early goals through Rhian Brewster and went on to win the game 2-0.
Both Spence and Sessegnon started in the wing-back roles. And the former Boro man put in a promising display.
Spence provided a constant threat down the right-hand side, with his blistering pace on display.

In the 14th minute, Spence was played in down the right flank by Cole Palmer and delivered an excellent ball into the box. But Brewster couldn’t quite get on the end of the cross.
The Tottenham man made some intelligent runs throughout the game and provided the type of threat Conte wants from his wing-backs.
Spence looked comfortable in possession and displayed some competent defending too.
He was eventually replaced in the 70th minute of the game but did face up against fellow new signing Destiny Udogie for the first 25 minutes of the second-half.
Conte will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on his players during the international break and Spence’s display would have certainly impressed the Italian.
Spence will be hoping to get a chance to impress his new boss soon, with a packed schedule coming up in October.
