Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has taken to Instagram to express his delight at being back in training following injury.
The Spurs star picked up an issue while on Senegal duty during the November international break and hasn’t played for Ange Postecoglou‘s side since.
Sarr missed out on Tottenham’s games against Aston Villa and Manchester City, but he shouldn’t be out for much longer.
The 21-year-old is back in training and, on his Instagram page, he took to Stories with a picture of himself at Hotspur Way and the caption “happy to be back”.

Admittedly, Postecoglou did confirm in his pre-West Ham press conference that the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will likely come too soon for Sarr.
However, the Spurs boss did claim – as per football.london – that the midfielder could hopefully be back in action against Newcastle at the weekend.
“Pape is back training,” said Postecoglou. “Probably tomorrow will be a bit too soon for him but Sunday I’m pretty sure he’ll be available.”
Sarr has been a big miss for Tottenham. The ‘unbelievable‘ talent has been instrumental in the Spurs midfield alongside Yves Bissouma.
At such a young age, he’s already a cut above at Premier League level, so it’ll be good to see him return to action as Tottenham’s injury and suspension crisis softens.
You could argue that Tottenham need more strength in depth if they are to challenge for honours this season. However, an injury list that long, and with so many key players out, would derail any team.
Spurs are only at the beginning of their journey under Postecoglou. In one window, he has already sorted out the starting XI. Over the next couple of windows, Tottenham’s strength in depth will be on his mind.
