‘Unbelievable today’: Arsenal fans praise Cedric Soares after Southampton display

Arsenal fans were celebrating last night as they overcame Southampton at St Mary’s, winning out 3-1 thanks to some inspired performances.

Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette grabbed the headlines for their attacking displays. However, there were a number of other fine efforts from the Gunners squad on offer. Granit Xhaka was excellent in midfield and got plenty of praise. While at the back, both Hector Bellerin and Cedric Soares impressed at full-back for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Indeed, it was Cedric who came in for plenty of praise on social media. Twitter was awash with comments about Cedric, who stepped in admirably at left-back for Kieran Tierney.

Arsenal fans seemed impressed with their man. Despite playing out of position, he delivered a fine display and helped shackle a Southampton side that has been flying this season.
