Rio Ferdinand has described Liverpool star Diogo Jota as “unbelievable” for his opening goal against Watford.
The England legend was speaking on BT Sport at half-time, with the Reds 1-0 up against the Hornets at the time.
Liverpool dominated proceedings in the first half and duly got the opener in the 22nd minute.

Jota timed his run to perfection and nodded in a pinpoint cross from Joe Gomez on the right.
It was his 14th goal in the Premier League this term also his seventh header for Liverpool in the top flight.
Also, 10 of Jota’s 20 goals in all competitions in 2021-22 have opened the scoring in Reds matches.
“That’s an unbelievable run,” Rio Ferdinand said on BT Sport, as transcribed in the Daily Mail.
“He’s top goalscorer for headers in the Premier League this season.
“That’s unbelievable and he was brave to get his head in there.”
The £120,000-a-week star later forced a good save from Ben Foster, and also headed over during the second half.
Admittedly, it wasn’t a vintage display from Liverpool, who only made sure of victory in the 89th minute.
VAR spotted a foul by Kucka on Jota in the penalty area, which led to a penalty for the Reds.
Fabinho stepped up and held his nerve to rifle his spot kick home and seal a 2-0 win for the hosts.
Liverpool temporarily went top of the Premier League table with their 10th league win in a row.
However, Manchester City’s 2-0 win at Burnley put them back at the summit.
Nonetheless, considering the Reds were 14 points behind in mid-January, that’s amazing work from Klopp and co.
