Chido Obi-Martin’s looks set to leave Arsenal this summer as rumours about Manchester United continue to do the rounds.

The striker is seen as one of the hottest properties in the Arsenal academy, but, unfortunately, the Gunners haven’t been able to convince him to stay at the club.

The striker now looks set to leave Arsenal.

Obi-Martin apparently visited Manchester United recently, and the Red Devils are said to be keen to sign the forward.

However, the player’s family have a different plan in mind.

Indeed, according to Steve Kay, speaking on KS1 TV, Obi-Martin’s family want the player to join Bayern Munich this summer.

Kay shared what he knows about the striker.

“It stinks of someone getting in his ear. It’s not bias, but there aren’t many better clubs than Arsenal for youngsters,” Kay said.

“It’s a strange one. Man United have come in, but there were links that he wants to go to Germany.

“He’s from Denmark and I’ve heard that his family wanted him to go and play in Germany, they were trying to get him to sign for Bayern Munich because a lot of Scandinavian players go over there to do that.”

What Jack Wilshere has said about Chido Obi-Martin

Unfortunately, it sounds as though Obi-Martin will be leaving Arsenal, and that’s a big blow.

Indeed, the striker looks like he could be one of the next big things in football.

Jack Wilshere has spoken incredibly highly of the striker in the past.

“He was unbelievable again, and I’m proud of the whole club with him, the coaches at Hale End, and everyone. The work that they have put into his development goes unseen,” Wilshere said.

“Chido has improved so much; his hold-up play, playing back to goal, and the way he links and presses have improved massively.”

Arsenal’s staff have worked incredibly hard to help Obi-Martin improve, but it looks as though he’s going to continue his senior career elsewhere, be that Bayern Munich or Manchester United.
