Umaro Balde appears to have been in and around the Rangers ranks for a couple of months now, but the youngster has now taken to Twitter to announce his switch to Ibrox.
It was reported by the Evening Times back in May that the Gers were set to sign Balde. And he has been involved in various youth lineups in the early stages of this season.
And the 16-year-old has now put to bed any confusion surrounding his situation. Balde has confirmed on Twitter that he has joined the Light Blues.
The midfielder paid tribute to the Scottish Premiership heavyweights, and made a vow regarding the contribution that he expects to make during his time at Ibrox.
Here is Balde’s tweet…

Steven Gerrard appears to be looking at introducing more younger players into his first-team squad this season. He seemed to rely more on experience during his first year, but has now brought some exciting talents into his ranks.
At 16, Balde appears to be some way off forcing his way onto Gerrard’s radar. But he will perhaps be hoping to impress Graeme Murty and secure a regular reserves spot in the future.
From there, Balde would surely have a fantastic chance to push through and into the first-team. Judging by his tweet, he certainly has the determination to get to that level.
