In summer 2016, Celtic completed the signing of Fulham starlet Moussa Dembele and he proved to be a hit in Glasgow.

In two seasons with the Bhoys, Dembele scored more than 50 goals for the club before his move to Lyon last summer.

And now Celtic are being linked with yet another Fulham youngster – could he follow Dembele’s path to Celtic glory?

According to Sky Sports News, Celtic are “aware” of Fulham starlet Tyrese Francois’ contract situation in West London.

Francois is out of contract at the end of this campaign, although Fulham are likely to offer him an extension.

Nonetheless, Celtic, Crystal Palace and Valencia are keen on the versatile midfielder, who operates as a holding midfielder or further forward in a central role.

The 18-year-old may be tempted to follow the trend of players leaving England to try their luck in the continent.

But the blueprint is there for him to leave Fulham and make a move to Celtic. Dembele took that unusual career route and has ended up a much better player as a result.

Francois is a highly rated youngster who could feature in Brendan Rodgers’ long-term Celtic plans.

The Australia-born midfielder, who also holds British citizenship, now has to decide whether to stay in London, move to Spain or try his luck at Celtic.
