Tyler Walker has surely earned his Nottingham Forest opportunity

Nottingham Forest loanee Tyler Walker has been in fine form this season.

Tyler Walker had a fairly impressive evening last night. He picked up three awards at Mansfield Town’s end of season ceremony.

It continues his impressive season which has seen him take Field Mill by storm. He was also included in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.  It all makes sense. Walker has been on fire this term. The youngster has scored 26 goals this season in 50 games for the Stags and will hope to add more during the League Two play-offs.

So should he be a part of Nottingham Forest’s first-team plans next season?

Martin O’Neill is known to have an eye on bringing though the young players at the City Ground. In Walker, he could have a striker that saves him millions in the transfer market.

The 22-year-old has often struggled to shake off the fact he is the son of Nottingham Forest legend Des Walker, ever since he made his debut back in 2015.

He has since not been able to cement a first-team role at Forest but his performances this term have been his best away from the club.

The former England under-20 striker has developed into a top striking option. Nottingham Forest will have to consider giving him a chance next season.
