Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts is a serious upcoming talent at Elland Road and he’s made 13 senior appearances so far this season.
The 20-year-old striker looked decent earlier in the campaign when he stepped in for injured pair Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe, but has slipped back down the pecking order following the return of the latter.
Roberts is realistically the third-choice option at centre-forward and is having to make do with brief cameo roles.
The Welshman should be fearful of his future opportunities, as the Whites are reportedly eyeing a deal for an international striker.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are interested in Gyasi Zardes from MLS club Columbus Crew.
It is understood that the Championship table toppers are keen on the 27-year-old alongside Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town, Fulham, Middlesbrough and Norwich City.

Zardes was goal machine in the most recent MLS season, scoring 20 goals in just 36 games.
The USA international has 40 senior caps for his nation and would be a senior addition at Elland Road to compete for a starting position.
It’s unclear on if Leeds are going to firm up their interest in Zardes, but in any event it should concern Roberts and he doesn’t need anymore competition for places.
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa have shown he is willing to trust young players and Roberts may still have several areas of his game to work on to convince him fully.
