Tyler Roberts made his first return to competitive action on Monday after his injury – and some Leeds United fans on Twitter were delighted to see him back on the pitch.
The attacker played the second-half for the Whites Under-23s side in a goalless away draw with Crystal Palace.
Roberts has been sidelined through injury since the back end of last season and has not been involved with the first-team so far this campaign.
But the 20-year-old stepped up his return by a 45-minute cameo with the youth team and he will now be working his way back to fitness.
He was unable to get on the scoresheet for the Under-23s, but was busy in the second period and heavily involved going forward.
Roberts became an important player in Marcelo Bielsa’s team last season and is a versatile attacker that can play in central or attacking roles.
The Wales international can be a real threat behind the striker with his pace and trickery, so his return to the senior squad will only improve options.

Roberts expressed his delight on social media after making his initial comeback.
“First minutes and feeling good,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
A selection of Leeds supporters on social media responded to his message and have urged him to hurry back to the first-team, as they feel he’s a crucial player that can help them.
The Welshman is still a young player that has plenty of room to improve, but is already ideal for Bielsa with his immense work-rate and movement in attack.
