Tyler Roberts plays through the pain barrier for Leeds United
Leeds United are back at the top of the Championship after an impressive 1-0 win against Hull City last night. It was a needed three points for Leeds, who have struggled to take the maximum amount recently. The reason behind that has largely been due to injury problems at the club. WIth attacking threats like Patrick Bamford, Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez all missing it has been tough going for the Whites.
However, Tyler Roberts has certainly stepped up.
The January signing from West Brom had a torrid start to his Leeds career. An early injury meant he had to wait months for his Leeds debut. Many were questioning whether Leeds had made a mistake splashing £2.5 million on his signature.
But his rasping drive gave Leeds the win last night. It was his third goal of the season so far as he steps up in the absence of Roofe and Bamford.
A revelation from Leeds captain Liam Cooper after the game highlighted just how determined Roberts is to be a hit at Elland Road.

Considering that Roberts has missed so much of his Leeds career already with a broken foot, playing through the pain barrier is a fantastic sign of commitment from the 19-year-old.
He will be acutely aware that Roofe is set to return after the international break and the Welsh international is clearly ready to man the fort until then.
Based on his recent form, he should also have a bigger role to play once Leeds’ striking talisman is back.
