Leeds United rescued a point with a late goal away to Preston on Tuesday night in the Championship, as striker Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score an equaliser in a 1-1 draw.
Marcelo Bielsa’s substitutes certainly made the difference at Deepdale, with the goalscorer and also Tyler Roberts entering the action in the 77th minute.
There have been shouts for weeks from supporters for Arsenal loanee Nketiah to be promoted to the starting XI and he is a more natural finisher than Patrick Bamford.
But Roberts once again was bright for Leeds with his late cameo and he too should be knocking down the door of manager Bielsa asking for a start.
Roberts injected some extra pace and creativity in the final third against Preston, something he’s done in recent games and he’s been used as a substitute in five consecutive matches.
The 20-year-old missed the start of the season through injury, but has proven his fitness in the past month and should make his first start of the campaign away to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon.

He fits the profile of a Bielsa player perfectly with his immense work-rate up and down the pitch, while he can certainly help going forward.
Leeds signed Roberts for £4million (Daily Mail) back in January 2018 and the exciting youngster has shown some great moments at Elland Road, but there is definitely more to come from him.
He should get a run of starts in an attacking midfield role during the next few weeks and he showed during a stage last season that he can be really effective in the Championship.
