Tyler Roberts has told LUTV that his friends at other clubs are in awe of Leeds United’s fans as they continue pour through the gates at Elland Road to watch their side steamroll their way to the top of the Championship table.
Leeds earned a second successive win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon at Elland Road, as goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison cancelled out Derreck Williams’ header. They currently sit in third place, level points with second.
A huge 35,567 supporters watched Bamford break his goal drought from the penalty spot – which has seen him fail to score since August. With a renewed confidence, Bamford laid on an assist for Harrison with an impaccable first touch.
Roberts was asked about Leeds’ home form in the Championship, and he responded by stating that it is crucially important – picking up an impressive 17 points from 24 at Elland Road. He also claimed other players are impressed by Leeds’ fans.

TBR’s view – Can Elland Road be the fortress needed for promotion?
If Leeds are to finally end their 16-year wait for Premier League football, then their home ground becomes one of their biggest weapons. Leeds dsperately need to maintain their impressive home form, or face another season in the second tier.
Marcelo Bielsa will be fully aware that promotion will be guaranteed if Leeds can win their home games and pick up the odd win or draw away from home. 17 from 24 is excellent, and Leeds must keep it up to go one better than last term.
