Brian Deane has taken to Instagram and compared Tyler Adams with a young Fernandinho following the Leeds United star’s performance against Chelsea at the weekend.
Adams has been receiving a raft of plaudits following a superb showing in the 3-0 win. The 23-year-old had been excellent in the opening two games of the campaign.

But Sunday saw the USMNT international prove exactly why Jesse Marsch wanted to work with him for a third time this summer.
Adams was colossal in the middle of the park alongside Marc Roca. No Leeds player won more tackles or made more interceptions than the youngster, according to Whoscored.

He also made the highest number of accurate passes amongst the Leeds squad.
Adams is not necessarily a headline-grabber. But he clearly has the potential to be absolutely pivotal to the side.
He reads the game so well and always appears to be in the right place at the right time. And he rarely seems to give possession away.
Leeds fans voted Adams as their man of the match on Sunday. And that prompted the club to post clips of his best bits on Instagram.
And in response, Deane made a big claim about how good Adams looked…

Tyler Adams compared with a young Fernandinho
Fernandinho is one of the best holding midfielders the Premier League has seen. So it is huge praise for Deane to compare Adams with the Manchester City legend.
Of course, City replaced the Brazilian with Kalvin Phillips this summer.
Many questioned how Leeds would fill the void left by the England international. But Jesse Marsch has done it with the additions of Adams and Roca.
Leeds now look harder to break down. And with Roca and Adams taking little time to form an impressive partnership, the Whites have not lost anything going forward by having more bodies in the middle of the park.
