Two Leeds players confirm Elland Road exits on Instagram

Leeds United youngsters Guille Amor and Kun Temenuzhkov have confirmed their exits on Instagram after the duo failed to break into the senior side on a regular basis at Elland Road – though Temenuzhkov did manage one senior appearance.

Temenuzhkov, 19, joined Leeds from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 as Victor Orta expanded his connections in Spanish football to bring the Bulgaria Under-21 international to Elland Road. But Temenuzhkov has struggled.

Though he was part of the youthful side that suffered a 2-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the third round of the FA Cup back in January 2019, Temenuzhkov has failed to even make the senior bench since.

A regular part of Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, he has moved on loan to Spanish third-tier side La Nucia on loan until the end of the season. It remains to be seen if he will remain at Elland Road after the temporary move.

Meanwhile, midfielder Amor has returned to Spain with La Liga side Getafe. Also a former Barcelona player, the son of ex-Barca star Guillermo Amor is expected to be a part of Getafe’s reserves – who also play in the third tier of Spanish football.

Both ex-Barcelona youth players confirmed their exits from Leeds on Instagram on deadline day, with Temenuzhkov’s move definitely a loan – while it remains to be seen if Amor’s is a temporary deal or beyond the summer.
