Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro are expected to return for Tottenham Hotspur’s next league game against Crystal Palace.

The duo missed out on Saturday as both players picked up injuries over the past week.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed ahead of the game against Wolves that Destiny Udogie had picked up a knock.

As for Pedro Porro, Postecoglou admitted the Spaniard has suffered a muscle strain and could face a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Yet, with Tottenham not in action this weekend due to their fixture against Chelsea being postponed for the time being, both Porro and Udogie could be back for their next game.

Porro and Udogie expected to return for Palace

The Athletic reports that due to having no game this weekend, Porro and Udogie are ‘expected’ to return for Crystal Palace on March 2.

It’s fair to say that Spurs missed their exciting full-backs as they fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Wolves on Saturday.

Postecoglou’s side looked devoid of ideas going forward and while that can’t be put solely down to their absences, Spurs do rely on both players for creativity in the middle of the park.

Emerson Royal and Ben Davies got the nod and despite being solid defensively, neither player is well-suited to that inverted full-back role.

Porro has racked up eight assists in 23 appearances for Spurs this term while Udogie has managed five goal contributions in the league.

Their importance to this current Spurs side became even more evident on Saturday when Postecoglou was without the duo.

It will be a welcome boost for the Aussie should both players return to the squad for the Palace game.

Spurs will be desperate to get back to winning ways after both Manchester United and Aston Villa picked up wins over the weekend.
