Newcastle United might have a buyer for right-back DeAndre Yedlin, with reports in Turkey suggesting that Besiktas are keen on a move for the American international.
It comes amid reports linking Besiktas with another full-back, a former Newcastle player, Davide Santon.
However, the deal to bring the Italian to Istanbul is long protracted and according to Orta Cizgi, the Black Eagles have now turned their attention to Yedlin.
The report does not mention whether a deal would be a loan or permanent buy, but considering Yedlin has just one year left on his contract with Newcastle, the Magpies would likely want to move him on permanently.
Yedlin saw his playing time at Newcastle diminish last season. The 27-year-old played just 16 games in the Premier League last season, battling a hip and groin problem early in the campaign.
By the end of the season, Yedlin found himself regularly on the bench. With that in mind, it was reported by CBS Sports that the player and his representatives spoke to the club in July about his long-term future.
Yedlin, who has played over 100 league games for the club, and MLSSoccer.com reported in August that the wing-back might be considering a return to the United States as his next move.
But if Besiktas offer him a deal that is too good to refuse, then it will be no surprise if Yedlin ends up in Turkey.
