Tottenham Hotspur on-loan forward Gareth Bale has been praised by the Welsh media for his display in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.
The Dragons ran out 1-0 winners over Czech Republic in Cardiff, Daniel James breaking the deadlock nine minutes from time with a header from Bale’s pinpoint cross.
As well as assisting for the winner, Bale clocked up some impressive stats, according to Whoscored, who rated him 7.25 out of 10.

The 31-year-old had three shots, one on target, made one key pass, won three aerials, and delivered one accurate long ball, on top of his accurate cross.
Meanwhile, Wales Online gave Bale 7 out of 10, and wrote: “Class is clearly still permanent.
“Not the Bale of old, but still had a direct hand in Wales’ winner with that magnificent cross from the left to set up James’ goal.
“True world class delivery, reminiscent of the moment that led to a Northern Ireland own goal in the last 16 of the Euros.”
TBR View:
It’s taken Bale a while to get up and running at Spurs, but now he’s doing well and has shown glimpses of quality for Jose Mourinho’s side.
It’s great to see him also do well for Wales, and while he may not be the Bale of old, he’s still got a lot to contribute.
