Chelsea are the world champions after beating PSG 3-0 on Sunday in the Club World Cup final.

Troy Deeney hails Robert Sanchez’s performance vs PSG

Deeney spoke about Sanchez’s performance against PSG while giving his match ratings from the final.

The pundit gave Sanchez a rating of 9.5 out of 10, claiming that this was the best game he’s ever seen the Spaniard play for Chelsea.

Sanchez was heavily criticised last season, but the £25m man may now have turned a bit of a corner at Stamford Bridge.

“Robert Sanchez I’m going to give him a 9.5 out of 10, he was excellent, that’s the best game I’ve ever seen him play for Chelsea,” Deeney said.

Robert Sanchez’s stats vs PSG

Deeney says Sanchez was brilliant against PSG, and he’s not wrong.

Indeed, the Spaniard made a string of great saves against the French giants, and his stats reflect his fantastic showing.

Sanchez has had his shaky moments for Chelsea, it must be said, but on Sunday he looked like a seriously reliable goalkeeper.

Chelsea aren’t far away from being Premier League contenders next season, but if the Blues are to be in the title race next year, they will need more of these sorts of showings from Sanchez.

Every Premier League winner has had a solid goalkeeper, and Sanchez needs to prove to Chelsea that he can be that man, and this Club World Cup performance is a brilliant foundation to now build upon.
