Manchester City face Tottenham this weekend in a game that is a borderline must win for both teams.
Tottenham come into this game sitting 10th in the Premier League table after a terrible result against Ipswich Town.
Meanwhile, Manchester City head into this match off the back of four consecutive losses in all competitions, but City are favourites heading into this game.
Pep Guardiola’s side are still way ahead of Spurs in the table, and with home advantage, City look to be the likely victors here.

Gary Neville believes City will beat Spurs, and now, speaking on his TikTok page, Troy Deeney has made a similar prediction.

Troy Deeney tips Man City to beat Tottenham
Deeney shared his verdict on how this game will go.
Not only does Deeney think City will beat Tottenham, he thinks it will be a statement win, predicting a 4-0 victory.
“Man City to do a job on Spurs. I think Spurs have had a tough week with Bentancur, a couple of injuries. If Van de Ven is not back, that high line against City, I don’t like it,” Deeney said.
“City on the other hand, Pep has just signed, apparently Haaland is signing a new deal. I think they will do a job mate. I’m going to say 4-0. Make a statement.”
Is Ange Postecoglou under pressure?
Deeney doesn’t have much faith in Spurs to get a result here, and a defeat against City would likely leave Spurs in the bottom-half of the Premier league table.
It’s around this time that, historically, Daniel Levy has started to think about changing managers.
| Tottenham managers | Games | Wins | Draws | Losses | Win percentage | League position when sacked |
| Ange Postecoglou | 58 | 31 | 7 | 20 | 53% | 10th* |
| Antonio Conte | 76 | 41 | 12 | 23 | 54% | 4th |
| Nuno Espirito Santo | 17 | 9 | 1 | 7 | 53% | 9th |
| Jose Mourinho | 86 | 45 | 17 | 24 | 52% | 7th |
| Mauricio Pochettino | 293 | 160 | 60 | 73 | 55% | 14th |
| Tim Sherwood | 28 | 14 | 4 | 10 | 50% | 6th |
| Andre Villas-Boas | 80 | 45 | 18 | 17 | 56% | 7th |
| Harry Redknapp | 198 | 98 | 48 | 52 | 49% | 4th |
However, Ange Postecoglou isn’t under any pressure at the moment apparently.
Indeed, Spurs are backing their gaffer despite their slow start to the season, and a defeat here may not change that stance too much.
Of course, this sort of form can’t go on forever, but, right now, it sounds like Postecoglou’s job is as secure as it’s ever been.
