The transfer window is over, and now we can switch our attentions to some actual football.

Indeed, the Premier League is back on Saturday, and to kick things off, Arsenal face Brighton just hours after one of the most dramatic deadline day sagas in recent memory.

Raheem Sterling has joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea, and while he won’t be able to play on Saturday, he’ll surely be watching to see how his new teammates get on.

Brighton have had a perfect start to this season, picking up two wins from two games, including a victory against Manchester United last week.

Speaking on his TikTok page, Troy Deeney has now had a go at predicting how this game will turn out as the Gunners face the Seagulls.

Troy Deeney predicts Arsenal vs Brighton

The pundit shared his verdict on how this one will go.

“Big game, big game for both actually. I think Brighton are going to get after them, they are on a high as well, but I do think that Arsenal will get the job done in this one. I can see a draw, but I am going to go for a 2-1 Arsenal, just nick it.”

Arsenal need to win

These are the types of games that are a must-win if Arsenal want to be champions this season.

Brighton are one of those tricky teams who can turn you over if you’re not at your best, and it’s dropped points in games like these that cost Arsenal the title last season.

Having won their first two games of the season, Arsenal are in good form heading into this match, but, as Deeney says, Brighton have it in them to nick something here.

Deeney reckons that Arsenal will win, and while the Gunners are favourites for this match, this game is a potential banana skin for the north London club.

Mikel Arteta’s side will have to be at their best to win here.
