The October international break is here, and for Leeds United, it’s a chance to reflect on a busy start to the season.

It’s been a mixed start to the campaign for Daniel Farke and his side, who have had plenty of competitive displays so far.

There will be some frustration that there aren’t more points on the board, with a few late goals going against Leeds.

The side will now look to address those positives and negatives over the break, while some stars are away representing their nations.

So, with that said, here’s a look at every Leeds United player on international duty during the October 2025 break.

Wales – Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Karl Darlow

Wales have a strong Leeds core to their national team, which features Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Karl Darlow.

The side will be without Dan James through injury, as he picked up an ankle knock that is expected to sideline him for a few weeks.

The side have an international friendly with England, before a crucial World Cup qualifier against Belgium.

USA – Brenden Aaronson

Brenden Aaronson is back in the USMNT set-up after Mauricio Pochettino left him out of the September internationals.

The forward will be pushing for more minutes within the team during their friendly matches, given that they are hosting the World Cup next year.

Japan – Ao Tanaka

Ao Tanaka hasn’t quite hit the ground running in the Premier League yet, following a mixture of injury and competition in places ahead of him.

He is expected to get some minutes for Japan, though, which could kick off his season, with friendly matches against Paraguay and Brazil coming up.

Sweden – Gabriel Gudmundsson

Gabriel Gudmundsson has settled well at Leeds since making the switch in the summer transfer window, which has been rewarded with another Sweden call-up.

The nation face an uphill battle in World Cup qualification action, following defeat to Kosovo and a draw with Slovenia last time out.

Now some key matches with Switzerland and Kosovo await them.

Slovenia – Jaka Bijol

Jaka Bijol is yet to really get his Leeds career up and running, with the defender finding competition from Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk at centre-back.

That hasn’t stopped him from getting a Slovenia call-up, though, as they look to build from a difficult opening two games in World Cup qualifying.

Bulgaria – Illia Gruev

Another midfielder who has struggled to get into the team is Illia Gruev, given the form of those in front of him.

He is still part of the Bulgaria side, though, who have two tough games in World Cup qualification.

Some eye-catching performances against Turkey and Spain could help to persuade Farke of a start in the coming weeks.
