Trezeguet has long been linked with a move to Aston Villa from Turkish side Kasimpasa this summer and it looks as though a deal might be finally completed – as the Egyptian ace has dropped a hint on Instagram.
The Sun claimed over the weekend that Villa had beaten French side Saint-Etienne to the £8million signing of 24-year-old Trezeguet, who has shone over the past two seasons in Turkey.
Joining Kasimpasa from Anderlecht in the summer of 2017, he has since scored 25 goals and laid on 18 assists in 71 matches for the SuperLig outfit. He also impressed at the 2018 World Cup for Egypt.
Villa have been heavily linked with Trezeguet and it now looks as though a deal is close to completion, after the skilful winger followed Villa’s strength and conditioning coach Oli Stevenson on Instagram.

TBR’s view – Villa finally get their man, and about time too
Villa are really in need of wingers. Only Jota and Anwar El Ghazi act as proven, top-flight options out wide and Dean Smith certainly likes to play with wide men in an attacking style of play.
Trezeguet, then, comes at just the right time and he will need to hit the ground running. The Premier League is now closing in, with Villa’s first game against Tottenham on August 10.
