Former West Ham star, Trevor Sinclair, has urged the club to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King and says fans should ‘back off’ the board if they do.
The Hammers are still in the market for a new striker after allowing Sebastien Haller to leave. They have made Said Benrahma’s move permanent, while Jesse Lingard is set to sign on loan too.

However, speaking to Talksport today, Sinclair believes signing Josh King could be the last piece of the jigsaw, while claiming reports of his huge wage demands may be wide of the mark.
“I think there was a few rumours about his wages. I’ve been told by an unreliable source that that’s not true”, Sinclair said.
“And I think if they do get this last one over the line, then I think Gold, Sullivan and Brady, the fans should back off them. If they can get this last one over the line, Josh King or another striker, then there’s a great chance of a European spot.”

Michail Antonio is back in the thick of things but Sinclair has doubts over whether he can stay fully fit. King has reportedly asked for wages in the region of £120k-a-week, which would make him one of West Ham’s highest earners.
TBR View: Sinclair spot on here, the Hammers need just that one more
Signing a striker could be the difference between West Ham getting into Europe and not here. Haller wasn’t amazing, but they are now light in that area.
Antonio does have a history of injuries too, which makes it even more important they get someone through the door.
King would be a good signing. However, as Sinclair says, those wages might have to come down just a bit.
