Trevor Sinclair and Chris Sutton hail Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney after FA Cup display
Arsenal defeated Manchester City to reach the FA Cup final last night, with two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang securing the victory for the Gunners.
Once again, it was an occasion where talented young Scotland international Kieran Tierney shone for Arsenal.
The left-back has struggled with injury since arriving in North London but his immense display against City further demonstrated just how far he has come.
Indeed, for one former Manchester City player, he feels Tierney should have been on the opposing team last night.
Former England international Trevor Sinclair took to Twitter to share his thoughts regarding Tierney, believing City should have made a move for the player whilst at Celtic.
Always thought Cuty should’ve signed Tierney? Different class to Mendy and Zinchenko at LB

Another former player to shower praise on Tierney was ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton. A long-term advocate for the left-back, he praised Tierney’s attitude in helping him come back from his injury trouble to be a top option for Arsenal.
The Gunners left-back even responded to the Tweet.
Delighted for Kieran Tierney. He arrived at Arsenal after carrying an injury for months and always needed time. The more games he plays the better he looks. If any player deserves anything from football for pure attitude, commitment and desire it’s him…

Thank you so much Chris. Appreciate it?

There is no doubt that Tierney has emerged as an exceptional option for Arsenal and changed the opinion of many who felt he was not going to be able to cut it in Premier League football.
Arsenal fans will just be hoping it can continue well beyond his current run of form.
