He is under no illusions as to who the success is down to and is blown away by Klopp’s management.

He told the club’s official website: “He’s unbelievable. Just everything about him in every way. His man-management…as a person, as a manager. Just unbelievable.

He’s the same person you see on television because I feel as though in those interviews when you see him on the camera, you can see that he’s a loving person. You can see that he’s someone who cares about the people around him.

“He cares about his family, he cares about his players, he cares about his staff. He treats everyone as equals and he treats the captain the same as he would a younger player.”

Alexander-Arnold is enjoying a meteoric rise in the professional game having made his first-team debut as an 18-year-old.

He has registered a remarkable 14 assists this season alongside two goals, despite operating as a right-back.

The academy graduate is living proof that the pathway is clear for youngsters at Liverpool.

Quality

It would seem under Klopp’s management that if you are good enough, you are old enough and that strategy will delight supporters.

Alexander-Arnold is paid £40,000-a-week at Anfield and he is one of Klopp’s most important players.

Right now he is one of the country’s very best right-backs and if he carries on there is no reason why he won’t be considered the best in the world.
