And now, in what is massive news for Reds fans, Alexander-Arnold has admitted he doesn’t ever see himself leaving Anfield.
“I’ve always wanted to be a club legend. Winning titles, playing as many matches as possible, winning matches, becoming captain,” Alexander-Arnold said (Sportbladet.)
“Of course, I can’t become a legend if I leave Liverpool to play elsewhere. So, my focus is there and on making the club as successful as possible.”
Those comments will be music to the ears of Liverpool supporters. They already love ‘TAA’, so any notion of him ever leaving being extinguished is good news.
Liverpool has a whole host of club legends. One of the most successful clubs in world football is going to possess come brilliant players in its history books.
In recent times the likes of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher fall into this category. Those are the sorts of player Alexander-Arnold will be looking up to.
Of course, success must come for the club. But he has already won the Champions League and is on course to land the Premier League title this season.
This is superb news for Liverpool and probably something that was never in doubt either.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the finest players to emerge at Anfield in a number of years. In terms of raw ability, few have come close to what he possesses.
The scary thing for other teams is that Alexander-Arnold will only get better. Indeed, much like Steven Gerrard, it would be no surprise to see him move into midfield as his career kicks on.
