‘Tremendous’: Rangers fans hail Ryan Kent after performance

Ryan Kent started in Rangers’ win over Rapid Vienna on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about the quality of his performance.

The 21-year-old winger showed his quality with some direct running and pace to trouble the Austrian side’s defence.

Steven Gerrard’s side completed a 3-1 win in the Europa League group stage match, which leaves them top of Group G after two rounds of fixtures.

Veton Berisha had given visitors Vienna the lead in the 42nd minute, but Alfredo Morelos responded instantly with an equaliser before half-time.

The Scottish giants then went on to seal points in the second-half courtesy of goals from James Tavernier and a second from centre-forward Morelos.

Kent has made a positive impact at Ibrox since he joined in the summer on loan from Liverpool and is getting the experience of European football under his belt.

The tricky wide man is influencing games with his speed, but one criticism of him may be his end product and he should have scored more than one goal so far this season.

A selection of Rangers fans on social media were delighted with the attacker’s hard working display in midweek.

Here is some of the Gers reaction to Kent’s display:
