To kick off our latest transfer update, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides keen on signing Marco Asensio this summer. Real Madrid want £34 million for the attacking midfielder ahead of the final year of his deal, but that price may drop further, according to Calciomercatoweb.

Spurs also made an enquiry to sign Matthijs De Ligt before the Dutchman left Juventus to join Bayern Munich for £68 million. Fabio Paratici made a call to Juve after Antonio Conte asked for an international-quality defender, but the club backed away over his asking price, Calciomercato reports.
